We are sad to announce that on February 20, 2025, at the age of 92, Helen Ellison Lail of Columbia, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Ellison and Mattie Ellison; her grandson David Caywood Matthew Sugarman; her former husband Hughes Young; and her husband Jim Lail.
She is survived by: her daughters, Debbie Erskine (David), Donna Sugarman, Denise Young and Susan Miller; and her grandchildren, Ray Caywood, Tony Caywood and Lindsey Sloop. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel (7600 Trenholm Rd Ext, Columbia, SC 29223).
