He is survived by: his wife Nellie Baker Sanchelli Jayroe; his daughters, Elizabeth Gwynne Jayroe-Aykilinc (Ali) and Sarah Ellen Jayroe; his stepsons, John Sanchelli, Jr., Gary Sanchelli (Lori), Gregory Hampton Sanchelli (Kim) and Joseph Baker Sanchelli (Kimberly); his daughter-in-law Nolley Cruikshank Sanchelli; his grandchildren, Rachel McPherson Jones (Cory), Caitlin McPherson Thrash (Casey), Elizabeth Sanchelli Fisher (Nick), John Vincent Sanchelli, William Jackson Sanchelli, Caroline Necole Sanchelli, Joseph Nicholas Sanchelli, John Ethan Sanchelli, James Alexander Sanchelli and Beck Robert Jayroe; his great grandchildren, Walter Grayson Jones and Kara Skye Jones; and his sisters, Connie Jayroe-Owens (Wesley), Vivian Jayroe Wall (Jimmy), Linda Jayroe Hardee and Nora Jayroe Overturf. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Shives Funeral Home, Trenholm Road Chapel (7600 Trenholm Rd Ext, Columbia, SC 29223). A celebration of life was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
