Crystal Mayo Obituary
Crystal Glenda Mayo was born in Gadsden, Alabama on January 30, 1981, to Mr. Michael Mayo and Ms. Glenda White Mayo. She met the arms of the Lord on July 26, 2021, in Columbia, South Carolina.
She accepted Jesus into her heart at a young age at James Memorial Baptist Church in Gadsden, AL. Crystal was a 1999 Gaston High School graduate with honors. She spent most of her adult life between Alabama and South Carolina. She was a brave courageous beautiful soul. If you talked to her long you knew where her strength came from. The one thing she was most proud of was her children. She loved them with everything she had. She loved her family more than anything in this world.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory daughters: Mika Mayo, Gabby Mayo, Joy Mayo, and son Jake Mayo; parents: Glenda Mayo, and Mike and Brenda Mayo; sisters: Misty Mayo and Niki (Jason) Newby; brothers: Dusty Mayo and Robbie (Tracy) Robinson; nephews: Logan Sexton, Trevor (Tana) Blevins, Brayden Mayo, Kingston Mayo, Micheal and Shayne Robinson, Waylon Peters; nieces: Mekenna Newby and one special great-niece; Wrenley Mae Blevins; aunts and uncles: Steve Mayo, Kelly Mayo, Bobby and Lana Jordan, Tim Mayo; special cousins: Leah (Liam) Jose Defeo, Molly (Dre) Banks, Riley (Cody) Wooten, Bailey Vaughn, Reece (Anna) Wagnon, Blaine Mayo, Kaci Mayo, and Josh (Teresa) Mayo; and special lifelong friend: Allison Gallbreathe.
Memorial Services will be held at The Chapel at Noccalula Falls on August 8, 2021, at 1pm. Crystal loved life and laughter, she was beautiful, she never met a stranger and she was full of whit. She left this earth too soon for our hearts but will never be forgotten until we take our last earthly breath. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, please make donations in honor of her to local homeless shelters and women’s recovery. Psalms 23
