It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Charles N. Groover (Columbia, South Carolina), born in Savannah, Georgia, who passed away on January 26, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Charles may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Charles touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He is survived by: his sons, Charles and Richard; his grandchildren, Coleman, Jack and Madison; his close friend Eddie Fillman; and his caregiver Beverly Gomez.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Fort Jackson National Cemetery (4170 Percival Rd, Columbia, SC 29229).
