He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert JT and Martha Dorsey Barnette. He is survived by: his wife Linda Kay Williams Barnette; his sons, David Lee Barnette of Gastonia, NC, Thomas Percell Barnette (Michaela) of Clover, SC, Earl Thomas Barnette of Gastonia, NC and Jessie Enniss of Fountain Inn, SC; and his siblings, Maggie Davis (Wendell) of Gastonia, NC and Jimmy Barnette of Marietta, SC. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
