He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie I. Jackson and Effie Gustina Jackson. He is survived by: his children, Diana J. Currence (C. Stanley) of Clover, SC, Sherry J. Butler and James R. Jackson (Phyllis) of Fort Worth, TX. He is also survived by five grandsons, four great-granddaughters; and a host of family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Stephen AME Zion Church (201 W Franklin Blvd, Gastonia, NC 28052). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Stephens A. M. E. Zion Church (201 W Franklin Blvd, Gastonia, NC 28052). A graveside service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at the Green Pond United Methodist Church Cemetery (1045 Hwy. 55 East, Clover, SC 29710).
