She was predeceased by: her parents, H. B. Snipes, Sr. and Edith Ammons Snipes; her stepfather A. H. Whitener; and her siblings, Edith Long, Willie Lunsford, Louise Sistare, James D. "Bud" Snipes and Hubert Snipes.
She is survived by: her husband Thomas L. Watts; her daughter Leslie Armstrong (Eric); her grandson Zeke Armstrong; and her siblings, Gerri Goforth and Danny Whitener. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
