He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Buster and Hattie Morris Ramsey; his siblings, Ann R. Benton, Nellie R. Moore, Samuel Ramsey and Robert Ramsey; and his grandson Wesley Adam Ramsey.

He is survived by: his wife Ida Harper Ramsey; and his children, Oliver Ramsey (Vivian) of Covington, Tammy Semmler (Stan) of Gordon, Georgia, Penny Mazzola (Mike) of Ormond Beach and Elaine Sommer (John) of Clover, SC..
