He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael H. Travers and Loretta Douglass Travers; his sisters, Shelley Mack and Loretta Ann Reed; and his granddaughter Rachel Travers Abshire.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Boyd Travers; and his children, Michele Barber (William) of Havana, FL, Daniel D. Travers (Sarah) of Mytic, CT and Andrew T. Travers (Victor) of Falls Church, VA. He is also survived by five grandchildren; and, two great grandchildren.
