He is survived by: his wife Janice Elgin Patterson; his children, Susan P. Beckman (Chris) of Florida, Robbin Varnadore of Clover, SC, Deanna Varnadore of Gaffney, SC, Scott Patterson (Arlene) of Clover, SC, Patrick "Pat" Patterson (Tiffany Whitley) of Clover, SC and Marty Varnadore of Clover, SC; and his sister Rebecca McCarter of Chester, SC. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; and twenty-two great grandchildren.
