It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Leslie Gilmer of Clover, South Carolina, born in Chester, South Carolina, who passed away on July 28, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Frank Benjamin Gilmer; and his siblings, Charles Gilmer, Alma Dabbs, Francis Gheens, Margie Head and Doris Black.
He is survived by: his wife Myrtle McNeely Gilmer; his daughters, Lisa Ramon (Joel) of Clover, SC and Frankie Spain of Conway, SC; his brother Ronald "Shotgun" Gilmer (Joann) of North Augusta, SC; his grandchildren, Spencer McNeely (Hannah) of Clover, SC and Tayler Cooper of Clover, SC; and his great grandchildren, Sawyer, Hudson and Aria-Kate.
