He was predeceased by: his parents, Amzy Joshua Small and Mary Louise Gregory Small; his spouse Athalene Hudson Small; and his brother Amzy Wray Small. He is survived by: his daughters, Leah Small Reid (George) of Anderson and LeAnn Small Smith (Warren) of Fair Play; his grandchildren, Anna Reid Nichols (Kevin) of Easley, Paul Reid (Whitney) of Rock Hill, Avery Smith Krawczyk (Scott) of Simpsonville, Scott Reid (Holly) of York and Douglas Smith of Huntington, WV; and his sister Ann Gregory Hunter. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
