She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Ella Rainey Speaks and James Speaks; her husband Elbert Shells; her sons, Calvin and Andrew Floyd; her great grandchildren, Brionna and Brianna Johnson; her siblings, Lou Wash Sr. Speaks (Bessie), James Speaks (Corrine), Patrick "Pat" Speaks, Sarah James (Leo) and Bertha Workman (Charlie); her children, Vera Rice and Ricky Shells; her grandson Quinton McCoy; her daughter-in-law Marvis Floyd of Whitmire, SC; her sister Bessie Shands of Clinton; her sister-in-law Bertha Lindsey of Gray; and her brother Marlon White of Cross Hill. She was also cherished by 17 Grandchildren, 17 Great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren, A host of nieces and nephews cousins and friends.
