With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Margie H Byrd (Clinton, South Carolina), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 11, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Herbert and Lillie Dillard Herbert; and her siblings, Ruth Lyons and Larry Herbert. She is survived by: her husband Robert G. Byrd; her sons, Robert Byrd (Angela) and James Byrd (Katheryn); her grandchildren, Rodric Byrd, Jarrell Byrd, Rylyn Byrd, Jasmine Byrd, Laporsha Bates and Samantha McCormick; her great grandchildren, Jaida Jackson, Mailyah Byrd, Jaycicana Byrd, Jakobe McCormick and Jakhal McCormick; and her siblings, Willie C. Herbert and Dorothy Williams. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Sanders-Thompson Mortuary (1235 S Bell St, Clinton, SC 29325). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Popular Springs AME Church (21692 US-221, Laurens, SC 29360).
