She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred James Rice and Girtha Patterson Rice Marshall; her son Brian Keith Merrill; her sisters, Lola Lowe, Anita Hill and Patsy Ellis; and her grandson Shane Merrill.
She is survived by: her sons, Russell Boyd Merrill (Becky Stansell) of Clinton and Victor Alan Merrill (Erica) of Clinton; her grandchildren, Amber Deadwyler and Tori Merrill; her great grandchild Ryder Deadwyler; and her daughter Maggie.
