He was predeceased by: his parents, J. A. Black and Pauline Burnett Black; his wife Linda Estes Black; and his siblings, Bonnie Sue Lewis and Danny Black.
He is survived by: his daughters, Dina Muse of Clinton, Lisa Snelgrove of Clinton and Toni "Jaye" Townsend (Gene) of Simpsonville; his sister Helen Fellers of Newberry; and his grandchildren, Melanie Cash, Jessica Snelgrove, Tyler Truelock, Taylor Cauble, Ryan Townsend and Dylan Townsend. He is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
