He is survived by: his wife Catherine Anderson Swetenburg; his children, John Richard Swetenburg, III (Cindy), Julius Anderson Swetenburg (Amy) and Ada Swetenburg Cain (Joe); his grandchildren, Jordan Swetenburg, Christine Dodd (Michael), Elizabeth Schultz (Brad), Catherine Cain, Meredith Swetenburg, John Swetenburg (Addy), Thomas Cain (Kate), Brooke Runzo (Ethan), Mary Margaret Cain and Steven Cain; and his great grandchildren, Brady Schultz, Emerson Dodd and Eloise Swetenburg.
