We are sad to announce that on April 12, 2025, at the age of 63, James Alfred Thacker (Clinton, South Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact James had on those he encountered along his journey. Though James may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnnie Thacker and Nancy Wyatt Thacker. He is survived by: his wife Samantha Thacker; his children, Jamarcus Cook, Jessica Bell and Alexis Cook; and his siblings, Roul Thacker, Robert Chauncey Thacker and Pamela Harris (Robert). He is also survived by six grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Sanders-Thompson Mortuary (1235 S Bell St, Clinton, SC 29325). A celebration of life was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at the Pinelawn Memory Gardens (28808 US-76, Clinton, SC 29325).
