He was predeceased by: his parents, Lionel Leo and Thelma Stone Hornsby; his daughter Bethany Paige Hornsby; his siblings, Ann King, Billy Hornsby, Leo Hornsby and Gene Hornsby; his nephew George Nelson King, III; and his niece Martha McCormick.
He is survived by: his stepdaughter Susan Lynne Davis (Reed); his siblings, Wayne Hornsby and Judy Mims; his niece Gloria King Flicek (David); his nephew James Hornsby (Jennifer); his great-nephew Austin McCormick; his great-niece Melissa Ann Thomson; and also Makenzie Jordan.
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Kennedy Mortuary Chapel (606 W Main St, Laurens, SC 29360). Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 4:30 PM at the Kennedy Mortuary (606 W Main St, Laurens, SC 29360).
