He was predeceased by: his parents, Hack Hendrix and Fannie Mae Bouknight Hendrix; his former wife Melinda Stroud Hendrix; and his siblings, Sara Mae Woodward, Robert Hendrix, Henry Hendrix, Haskell Hendrix and Wilson Hendrix.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Gruber Hendrix; his children, Frank Samuel "Sammy" Hendrix, Jr. (Donna) of Ware Shoals and Kimberly Denise Fowler (Scott) of Blair; his stepdaughters, Sandy Dowdle (Richard) of Clinton and Windy Crawford of Houston, TX; and his sister Billie Lominick of Newberry. He is also survived by six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
