She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnnie C. McGowan Sr. and Arcelia Pyles McGowan. She is survived by: her children, Dianne Byrd and Bryan Leake; and her siblings, Johnnie C. McGowan Jr., Otis McGowan, Charles McGowan, Pearl Gailliard and Brenda Gary. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Sanders-Thompson Mortuary (1235 S Bell St, Clinton, SC 29325). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at the Orchard Park Memorial Garden.
