We are sad to announce that on December 24, 2020, at the age of 87, Edith Sweetenburg of Clinton, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Inez Robinson Bookman and Eugene Bookman; her spouse Claude T. Swittenburg; and her sisters, Mary F. Swittenburg, Willie Mae Cromer, Thelma Bookman, Joann Ruff, Rosa Lee Jones, Naomi Wise, Laura Mae, Mary Edith Bookman and Elizabeth Austin.
She is survived by: her brothers, Malverse, George, Gene and James Bookman; her grandchildren, Barbara, James Swittenburg, Teater Jackson, Tyrone Neal, Kyrie Jenkins and Fallon Meggett; her children, Mary Swittenburg, Lula Mae Prince of Norristown, PA, Emma Swittenburg (JW) of Clinton, SC, Kathleen Meggett of Newberry, SC and Claude Swittenburg (Emma) of Johnston, SC.; her siblings, Mary D. Carol, Georgia Bookman of Prosperity, SC, Roy, Albert and Terry Bookman of Prosperity, SC; her grandchildren, Debra Duffy, Felicia Williams, Cruz and Tanisha Swittenburg; her aunt Florence Stoudermire; her uncle Willie Mack Stoudermire; and her brother-in-law Roger Ruff.
All in attendance are asked to wear a mask or face covering and to practice social distancing.
