We are sad to announce that on March 20, 2024, at the age of 88, Doris R. Lyda Blackman of Clinton, South Carolina, born in Durham, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Butler (Pete) and Minnie Butler of Laurens, SC.; her husband Luby Blackman of Joanna, SC; and her son Terry E. Lyda of Clinton, SC.. She is survived by: her children, Patricia Williams (Jeff) of Lilburn, GA, Gary Lyda (Anna Marie) of Joanna and Scott Lyda (Tosha) of Whitmire; and her siblings, Ansel Butler of Anderson, SC and Dianne Butler Engle of Aiken, SC.. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, one (1) great-great grandson, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
