He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Ellerbee and Sarah Edna Holt Parris; his wife Margie Ellen Gregory Parris; his daughter Donna Marie Tweed Reynolds; and his brother Robert Parris.
He is survived by: his daughter Kira P. Lanier (Cole) of Laurens, SC; and his grandsons, Cole Logan Lanier, Jr. and Jacob Bramlett Lanier.
