He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Cleveland and Roxie Douglass Mungo; his siblings, Clyde Mungo, G. C. Mungo and Joy Richardson; and his sons-in-law, Jean Lacombe and Leo Steady.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Owens Mungo; his daughter Dana Steady of Dover, DE; his granddaughter Brigitte Lacombe of Bonner Springs, KS; and his siblings-in-law, Sue Mangum of Pageland, SC, Jean Hathaway of Matthews, NC, Betty W. Owens of Marshville, NC and Ronnie Owens (Betty) of Watha, NC. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
