He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Charles Whitmire; his stepmother Ruth Whitmire; his mother Lilian Hawkins; his children, Jay Whitmire and Melissa Veal (Matt); his grandson Brance Veal; his brother Vincent Whitmire; his nieces and nephews, Hayden (Sugar Bugar) and Kaybree; his mother-in-law Evelyn Cox; his pets, Bandit, Dillon, Millie, Gracie, Cooper and Drake; and his brother Ricky Whitmire.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Kennedy Mortuary & Crematory (606 W Main St, Laurens, SC 29360). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Kennedy Mortuary Chapel (606 W Main St, Laurens, SC 29360).
