It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Davis (Cleveland, South Carolina), born in Lockhart, South Carolina, who passed away on June 2, 2019, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jay Cook and Lillie Patrick Cook; her son John Peterson; and her siblings, Jim Cook, Lillian Pruitt and Barbara Smith.
She is survived by: her daughters, Evelyn Peterson of Blacksburg and Bessie Ray of York; and her brother Jerry Dean Cook of Columbia. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
