She was predeceased by: her parents, Mays Nelson and Grace Cox Nelson; and her brothers, Earl Nelson and Jack Nelson. She is survived by: her husband Eddie Claymon Guthrie; her sons, Scott Smith, Travis Smith (Karen) and Roger Guthrie; and her siblings, Kathleen Nelson, Emily Johnston (Roger) and A. C. Nelson (Nora Lee). She is also survived by four grandchildren.
