He was predeceased by: his parents, Wade Hampton and Nettie Irene Wilson Kelly; his daughter Wilda Ruth Allen; and his siblings, Sara Barrett, Hazel Lee, Gladys Dixon, Ray and Knox Kelly.
He is survived by: his daughters, Patricia Ann Ivester of Clemson and Sandra Kay Powell of Central; and his grandchildren, Chris Ivester, Kelly Winchester, Wendy Easter, Steven Powell and Doug Allen. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
