He was predeceased by: his parent Lang Gilliland. He is survived by: his spouse Laura Neath Black; his parent Jesse Hawkins Black; his daughter Leanne Broome (Devon) of Central; his stepson John Vinson of Charleston, SC; his sister Elaine Memmott (Richard) of Easley; his grandchildren, Ransom Broome and Oron Broome; and his daughter Sandy Alexander (Jimmie) of Central.
