With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kathleen Hinson Wilson (Clemson, South Carolina), born in Fair Bluff, North Carolina, who passed away on January 22, 2019 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her former husband John Henry Wilson; and her siblings, Bettie Howell, Dorothy Irons, Uldine Jordan and Jasper Hinson.

She is survived by: her significant other James Binder; her stepdaughters, Susan Evatt (Perry) of Greenville and Carolyn Grogan (John) of Housatonic, MA; her sister Virginia Benson of Des Moines, IA; her nieces and nephews, Devona Jo Strawn of Effingham, SC, Jean Vegod of Pendleton, SC, Connie Threet of Hampshire, TN, Robin Gardner of Johnston, IA, Christine Desormeau, Joyce Lane of Jacksonville, FL, Karen Critser of Jacksonville, FL, Mary Ann Clark of Kernesville, NC, David Hinson of Norfolk, VA, Robert Howell of Pendleton, SC, Steven Benson of Indianola, IA and Charles Dorman of Leesburg, FL; and her grandchildren, Katharine Staron, Jennifer Grogan, John J. Grogan and Perry W. Evatt.
