He is survived by: his children, Joe Herndon of Laurens, Heather Herndon of Clemson and Todd Herndon (Betsy); his grandchildren, Grace, Wright and Meredith Herndon; his nephews, Dave Wall (Marissa) and Mike Wall (Laura); his niece Jennifer Wall; his sister-in-law Ruth Lawrence of Simpsonville; his nephew Charles Lawrence; his niece Lyn Mixson (John); his great-niece Meredith Mixson; and his great-nephew Drayton Mixson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Building Fund, First Baptist Church of Clemson, 397 College Avenue, Clemson, SC 29631.
