She was predeceased by: her spouse Lucius C. "Luke" Hamilton; her parents, Dr. William Baker and Ruth DeSaussure Furman; her daughter Ruth M. Furman (Keith); and her siblings, Thomas DeSaussure Furman, William B. Furman, Caroline F. Hamilton and Mellicent F. White.
She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth "Beth" M. Waller Tanner of Clemson, Joseph "Jay" S. McInerny (Leona) of Covington, GA, Bill Hamilton of Greenville, SC, Lucy H. Pulliam (Joe) of Greenville, SC and David Hamilton (Vivien) of Traveler's Rest, SC; her grandchildren, Lisa Waller, Shea M. Amor (Sammy), Tristan McInerny, Anna P. Cathcart (Alex), Thomas Pulliam, Sarah Hamilton and Caroline Hamilton; and her great grandchildren, Blair Cathcart and Amor.
Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, the family has chosen to have a private committal service in Old Stone Church Cemetery and plan to have a Celebration of Life which will be announced when it is scheduled.
