He is survived by: his wife Joan Shaw; his children, Gerald Shaw Jr. (Debbie) of Asheville and Linda Hazen (Tim) of Sunset; his brother Robert Lear of Virginia; his grandchildren, Daniel Shaw, David Shaw, Elizabeth Shaw, Austin Hazen, Dylan Hazen and Makenzie Hazen; and his great grandchild Stori Shaw.
