It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Leslie Jones (Clemson, South Carolina), born in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, who passed away on January 25, 2020, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Jane Mahaffey Jones; his parents, Sadie Attaway Jones of Clemson and George Carlisle Jones; his sons, George Carlisle Jones, II (Katherine) of Clemson and Blakely Calvert Jones of Seneca; his sister Lynne Griffin (Randy) of Six Mile; and his brother-in-law Murphy R. Mahaffey (June) of Clemson.
