“I am saddened to hear of Mr. McDowell’s death. He and Mrs. McDowell were foundational mentors during my education at Lee Academy. I remember with fondness his commitment to my growth and development and to that of all his students. He was a coach, teacher, counsellor, and second father to many. He was a champion in all aspects of life and deserving of his eternal reward. What a rich and full life he lived influenced so many.! My prayers are with those who mourn his death today.”
