She was predeceased by: her parents, Spencer Vaughn and Ruby Adams Vaughn; her husband James Lavin Gainey; and her siblings, Clarence Vaughn (Buff), Johnnie Vaughn, Ollie Rivers, Virginia Walters and Mary Lefler.
She is survived by: her children, Melissa Vick (Ted) of Pawleys Island, SC, Virgil Adams (Rebekah) of Wilkesboro, NC and Wayne Adams (Pam) of Chesterfield, SC; her grandchildren, Carli Adams Hoofnagle (Bryan), Daniel Belk Adams, Crista Adams King (Jackson), Evan Vaughn Adams, Willow Grace Vick and Laurel Faith Vick; and her great grandchildren, Eleanor Gloria King, Spencer Jackson King and Drew Laurel Hoofnagle. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, social distancing is encouraged and the family requests all those in attendance please wear masks.
