He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland Dewitt and Elsie Davis Teal; his children, Elsie and Charles Teal; the mother of his children Annie Stafford; and his sister Annie Mae Reese.
He is survived by: his children, Pam Rivers (Charles) of Ruby, SC, William Dewitt Teal, Jr. of Chesterfield, SC and Lisa Short (Jackie) of Ruby, SC; his grandchildren, Charlene, Diana, Jessi and Nina of Liza, B. J.; his great grandchildren, Kinsly, Kason, Hunter, Taylor, Luke, Tyler, Jackson, Jake and Daulton; his sister Ruby Hayes (Bud) of Darlington, SC; and his close friends, Sarah and Tony Chavis. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
