He was predeceased by: his parents, James Stubbs and Mamie Quick Stubbs of McColl, SC; his wife Margery Goforth Stubbs; and his siblings, Raymond Stubbs, Eula S. Gulick, Elizabeth "Lib" S. Steen, Becky S. Lane, Frances S. Watson and Marion Stubbs.
He is survived by: his children, William "Bill" Stubbs, Jr. (Diane) of Columbia, James "Jim" Stubbs (Sara) of Stallings, NC and Elizabeth "Beth" Stubbs Hough (Austin) of Chesterfield; his grandchildren, William Stubbs, Emily Stubbs, Jenna Hough and Ethan Hough; and his sister Jacque S. McLellan of Lexington. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
