It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Verna Mae Helscel (Chesterfield, South Carolina), born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, who passed away on December 21, 2019, at the age of 58, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jim Helscel and Gertrude Hudson Helscel; and her husband Roy Eugene Helscel. She is survived by: her children, Walter Helscel of Pageland, SC, Jay Helscel of Pageland, SC, Verna Helscel of Pageland, SC and Patricia "Patty" Helscel of Pageland, SC; her grandchildren, Amy, Roy and Mason Helscel; and her siblings, Donnie Mayhall, Allen Gibbs, Tina Spencer, Barbara Moore and Happy Brown.
