She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Claude and Allie Elizabeth Adams Rayfield; her husband Jack E. Outen; and her siblings, Howard Clifton Rayfield, Sr., Caston Rayfield, Lloyd Rayfield, Basil Rayfield, Thomas Rayfield, Louise Davis, Lois Benefield and Olivia Davis.
She is survived by: her daughters, Jackie Hartman (Chuck) of Jefferson, SC and Nancy Plyler (Kevin) of Monroe, NC; her grandchildren, Robert "Battle" Hartman of Hartsville, SC, Whitney Hartman of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Ashton Plyler of Monroe, NC; and her siblings-in-law, Curtis Outen of Charlotte, NC, Joel Outen (Ruby) of Charlotte, NC, Betty O. Taylor of Pageland, SC, Jean Outen of Matthews, NC and Maynell Outen of Mint Hill, NC. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
