She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Thomas and Ollie Short Wright; her husband Barney Gilbert McLain; her siblings, Estelle Wright Taylor, Leonard Wright, Clyde Wright, Grady Wright and Hugh Thomas Wright; her son-in-law Bruce Rogers; and her brother-in-law John Russell McLain.
She is survived by: her children, Katherine McLain Rogers of Chesterfield, SC and Thomas Richard McLain (Judy) of Destreham, LA; her grandsons, Paul Rogers (Andrea) of Monroe, NC and Thomas Richard McLain, Jr. of Baton Rouge, LA; her great grandchildren, Madison Rogers of Monroe, NC, Ian Baird Perkins of Huntersville, NC and Colin Michael Perkins of Monroe, NC; her siblings, Joyce Wright High (Roy) of Dobson, NC, Patricia Wright Hannah (WT) of Unionville, NC, Nancy Wright Jones of Greensboro, NC and Fred Daniel Wright of Boston, MA; and her sisters-in-law, Novella McLain Jacobs (Ralph) of Chesterfield, Sue Ellen C. McLain of Chesterfield and Gracie Odom Wright Ratliff of Monroe, NC. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
