He is survived by: his nephew Jack "J. D." Elders; his wife Wanda Collins Tyner; his children, Phillip Dean Tyner of Cheraw, SC, Tiffany Gall Tyner of Cheraw, SC and Candie M. Gleason (Grant R., III) of Cheraw, SC; his grandchildren, Westley Dean Tyner, Grant R. "Little G" Gleason IV, Grayson Gleason, Brandyn Tyner and Gaverick Gleason; and his siblings, Eddie Tyner (Janice) of Mountville, SC, Rev. Tony Tyner (Connie) of Cheraw, SC, Rev. James Tyner (April) of Cheraw, SC and Starr Wade (Jamie) of Laurens, SC.
