He was predeceased by: his parents, James Roachel and Vera Chapman Tolson; and his siblings, William, Hildreth, Weldon "Snookie", Nolan Tolson, Elizabeth McLain, Clara Huggins, Sadie Jordan and Margaret White.
He is survived by: his wife Mabel Tolson; his children, Ellen Morton (Ricky) of Cheraw, SC and Randall T. Tolson (Merlynn) of Fayetteville, NC; his grandchildren, Chris Morton (Nisa), Ricky "Hootie" Morton, Jr., Kenny Bell, Autumn Grimm (Dorsey), Chucky Bell and Bethany Tolson; his great grandchildren, Addy, Emma, Kayden, Cameron and Lincoln; and his siblings, Jeter Tolson (Lydia) of Patrick, SC, Raymond Tolson (Tina) of Greenwood, SC, Odell Tolson of Ft. Pierce, FL, Lowell Tolson (Vera) of Pendleton, SC and Daphene Wrenn (Ray) of Abbeville, SC. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved pet.
