He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Joplin and Thelma Mae Linton Joplin; his son Marty Wayne Joplin; and his brother David Sherman Joplin. He is survived by: his children, Danny Joplin (Gloria) of Jefferson, SC, Ronnie Joplin (Kelly Alexander) of Pageland, SC and Lisa Steen (David Eddins) of Ruby, SC; and his grandchildren, Amanda Haigler (Jason), Jeremy Tarlton (Kayla), Rev. Corey Joplin (Ashla), Carrie Joplin, Jesse Joplin, Katelyn Price, Chris Joplin, Tiffany Joplin, Matthew Steen and Nikki Steen. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren, and numerous great-great grandchildren.
