He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Braxton and Viola Wallace Tarleton; his son Tracy Tarleton; and his siblings, Margaret Jones, Alvin "Bobo" Tarleton and Kenneth "K. T." Tarleton.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Tarleton; his sons, Trevor Kale Tarleton of Myrtle Beach, SC and Kelly Twain Tarleton (Michelle Hoover) of Charleston, SC; and his grandchildren, Trace Manning Tarleton of Charleston, SC and Carmen Amelia Tarleton of Charleston, SC. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
