She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy S. Helms and Amanda Faye Helms; her daughter Mary Faye Benton; her grandson Jeffrey James Benton; her great grandchildren, Jason Harris and Avery Harris; her siblings, Roy S. Helms, Jr., Argie N. Helms and Margaret Helms Morris; and her siblings-in-law, Buddy Lane, Brenda Helms and Karene Helms.
She is survived by: her husband J. P. Leonard; her daughters, Lois Thompson (Mike) and Beth Leonard (Carmelo); her grandchildren, Christy Morman (Kevin), Adina Cavallini (Mike), Deanna Benton, Stacie Rice (Josh), Corie Jada Coggins (Grayson), Nathan Najera and Drew Najera; and her siblings, Craig Helms, Maurice Helms, Ranger Helms, Arnell Helms and Debbie Lane. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
