She was predeceased by: her parents, Les Gainey and Pearl Windom Gainey; her husband Jim Linton; her sons, Don Wayne, Bobby Ray Linton and John David Linton; her grandson Andy Dudley; and her siblings, Willa Mae Dangerfield, W. J. Gainey, Heyward Gainey, Grady Cole Gainey, Claude Gainey and Melvin Gainey.
She is survived by: her sons, Ronnie Linton (Virginia) of Hartsville, SC, J. C. Linton (Linda) of Wallace, SC and Joey "Juicy" Linton of Society Hill, SC; and her siblings, Carlene Alexander (Dave) and Richard Gainey of Darlington, SC. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
