It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Katie W. Deese (Chesterfield, South Carolina), who passed away on July 9, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sam Watson and Rosie Ratliff Watson; her husband Maxie C. "Teat" Deese; her children, James C. Deese, Kenny M. Deese and Patsy D. Rollins; her grandson Scott Deese; her siblings, Grover Watson and Sara Watson Jones; and her son-in-law Hollis Hurst, Jr..
She is survived by: her daughter Joyce D. Hurst; her grandchildren, Chris Deese, Angela Demby (Gregg), Chasity Lisenby (Michael), Lisa Herrington (Scott), Brandy Rollins and Anthony Rollins (Crystal); her great grandchildren, Taylor Demby, Holli Demby, Colt Oliver, Michaela Lisenby, Kingsley Herrington, Makenxie Rollins, Kaden Herrington, Abram Rollins and Camdyn Rollins; and her sister-in-law Dot Jordan (Tommy).
