He was predeceased by: his parents, James Willall Gaddy and Margaret Eddins Gaddy Carter; and his sisters, Judy Gaddy Rayfield and Patricia Gaddy Diggs. He is survived by: his wife Janet D. Gaddy; his children, Marty Merriman of Cheraw, SC and Dana Merriman McCorkle (Chris) of Concord, NC; his grandson Turner McCorkle; and his siblings, Richard Allen Gaddy of Cheraw, SC and Norma Gray Gaddy Adams of Mt. Croghan, SC..
